Perhaps thanks to Miss Emma Patterson, I'm a writer, mostly of mystery novels. I was for many years an English professor at Fordham University, before that at Amherst College and at Tufts University. I've been married for 46 years to David Dobson, who now runs a non-profit agency in Poughkeepsie called Rebuilding Together/Dutchess County.
